| Where: India, Kadadanahalli |
It aims to support people in difficulty through education, health and autonomy.
In doing so, it runs a school, a medical centre, a hospice and a Children’s Home.
Here it welcomes minors without families and offers them a safe and protected environment in which to grow and develop.
The organization aims to create a positive and lasting impact on the communities it serves, addressing both immediate needs and the long-term well-being of the people.
The testimony
Father Sibi Puthenpura, the founder and director of Vanaprastha, is a priest with a background in psychology studied in Italy. He returned to India to help the most vulnerable and defenseless, focusing especially on children without families.
“A little while ago, another patient arrived, so we now have 10 sick people. Visiting them, talking to them, and being with them makes us reflect on life and the importance of sharing and being altruistic. Our life is a precious gift, hanging by a breath.”
