Listening and welcome for young single mothers
In Fortaleza, Brazil, she created the Maria Mãe da Vida women’s congregation. With the religious women of the area, she helps little women become mothers and discover themselves as people.
Father Adolfo and the sisters of the congregation have created four coexistence centres, a shelter, a maternal and child medicine centre, but also a house for religious formation.
Today, Don Adolfo wants to offer greater welcome to single mothers and young women marked by abuse and addiction. A center where there is a team of professionals, doctors and psychologists, ready to listen. We also want to do our part and support the women of Fortaleza as they take back their lives and look to the future with hope.

The testimony
Don Adolfo and the volunteers of the Maria Mae da Vida center are committed to making people discover that true love is not control, pain or dependence, but something that comes from freedom, respect and the mutual desire to grow together.
The work diary
São Camilo de Lélis Center – Quixadá (Brazil)
In the past, the São Camilo de Lélis Community Center, part of the Associação Maria Mãe da Vida in Quixadá, was in a state of severe structural disrepair, making it impossible to carry out educational and social activities.
Today, after a major renovation — made possible in part thanks to our support — the Center has become once again a safe, welcoming, and fully functional space, where children, teenagers, and women can take part in training courses and community gatherings.
A project that restores dignity, hope, and new opportunities to the local community.
